2012 was a pretty sub-par year for animated features in general, IMHO.
I didn't love Brave, I didn't love Frankenweenie, I didn't love Wreck-it-Ralph. They all just kind of existed. Rise of the Guardians might have been my favorite from that year, but even that was just sorta...there.

I don't THINK I'm getting to be too much of an old grump to enjoy animated features, I just think 2012 may have been the weakest year for me out of the past five, as every other year featured at least one animated film that I REALLY enjoyed. (2011 wasn't great either but Winnie the Pooh was my jam).
Gills.

Genesis Rodriguez (Honey Lemon) says that she’s heard ‘rumblings’ of something happening with ‘Big Hero 6.’ Could it be a sequel?

I didn't get a chance to see Big Hero 6 in the theaters, so I blind bought it release week. I liked BH6, fun movie certainly worth a blind buy for me.

I hadn't read too much about the development of the movie, though I did know it was adapted from a Marvel comic I never looked much into it. Anyways, while watching the movie I kept thinking just how much like a Man of Action creation this was and had a good laugh when I saw Man of Action at the top of the movie's credits.

Steven Seagle & Joe Casey speak candidly with CBR on the importance of convincing Hollywood to properly credit the creators of its biggest hits.

I saw the articles about this yesterday. The concept sounds cool. I wonder if they will take ideas from the comics, (adding new team members, Baymax Dragon mode etc...) or just do their own thing. Also I hope it is not that crappy Flash style animation that seems to be pervading the industry. Hopefully Film Roman or Man of Action is animating it (or a similar type animation house). As awful as the Marvel/Disney toons are right now because they are pale -bland movieverse knock-offs, at least the animation is decent.

Its just too bad they couldn't cut a deal with FOX for use of the X-Men characters Sunfire & Silver Samurai. --I mean the other series (USM, AA, H&TAOS) have used *some* X-Men characters (Wolverine, Sabretooth, Sauron, Ka-Zar, and Juggernaut come to mind)
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Big Hero 6 General Discussion

TOPIC MERGED BY MOD.

*Thank You*

Greetings All,

It's been a little over 5 years since the film came out. It almost seemed as though a sequel was inevitable, but Disney has decided to take the lesser route of a cartoon series instead. It's ok, I'm currently watching it on Disney+ with my kids, but it certainly does play to a lower common denominator, as I thought the film was pretty spectacular.

However...Now with Disney acquiring FOX, and its library of characters etc... Does anyone think *if* there were ever to be a sequel, if they would incorporate some of the X-Men characters into it? (i.e. Sunfire, Silver Samurai etc...) I mean after all Sony proved you can have both an Animated and Live action Spider-Man films going on concurrently, and still be successful. I understand that some of the strengths of the film came form the fact that it was so different from the original Marvel Comic. Still, I'd love for those characters to appear at some point, especially now that there are fewer legal obstacles to work around. Next to Colossus, Sunfire is actually my 2nd favorite X-Man, and I've long given up hope of him ever appearing in a proper X-Men film, so this would be the next best thing.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.
