It's a tricky prospect, a project like this. I think you would need a really accomplished and steady guiding hand on the creative side. If, say, Henry Selick or Guillermo del Toro was in charge somewhat?
The danger in something like this is just becoming a ludicrously expensive fan film.

I'm of two minds. I say hooray for the Foundation in this attempt. I hope this project will come to fruition. However, in this day and age of CGI and franchises, I don't think it will be very profitable. The best bet (if it is made at all) is to try to put it on Netflix. Still, for guys like me, this was very exciting news!

Another outstanding issue is that Morningside Entertainment has a poor track record. They tried to make a film called Sinbad: Rogue of Mars seven years ago, but only a comic and novel resulted from that. Even though I'd like to see the film made, I think the ambitions on display here exceed their capabilities.

Since The Ray Harryhausen Foundation will be at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend, I hope that they will have some news regarding "Force of the Trojans".
