There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

People call him 'Charlie' throughout the film yet the opening credits just call him 'Chinese cook.' The role's already stereotypical, and on top of that the guy who does the titles doesn't even bother to learn your character's name!

Consider the time period and the context.

^I consider the time period, but that doesn't mean I don't notice the racism. I love a ton of pop culture from the early-to-mid 20th century, so I'm used to it to a degree. The real bugaboo is that I wonder how much we've really progressed...

Hey, one of the original Kong armatures was used to make Kiko. Which one does Bob Burns have?

To me this serves as a nice little epilogue to the original Kong. It gives Denham a lot of character and Little Kong's demise is just as heartbreaking as his father's.

This movie's memory always kinda grows in my mind and then I watch it and...yeesh. I like the general premise, of Denham actually seeing consequences of the first film, and being desperate enough to be stupid enough to head back to Skull Island, but pretty much the rest is bad. The girl is bad, the humor is wonky and imho violates the idea that you can have a comedic action movie but it shouldn't be at the expense of the monster, and the ending is jarring. All of this and Denham is a bad guy who's even worse in this one and he really shouldn't come out as far ahead as he does. It's not only a really inferior sequel, it's a pretty sloppy film on its own terms.
