Damn, the curse of B5 continues. The number of cast and crew from that show who died at an unacceptable age is staggering.

The following article includes links to a two-part Youtube video of a fascinating convention panel featuring many of the key figures from the show, including Doyle. It's long (about 90 minutes), but essential viewing for fans of the show, as it reveals many secrets and moving anecdotes from the production. Just skip past the first ten minutes or so of the first video, as the moderators are useless, and it doesn't start to pick up until JMS hijacks control of the panel from them.

Jerry Doyle's Garibaldi was one of the highlights of B5 for me. When I first saw the story I felt the same shock as when I read about Andreas Katsulas and Richard Biggs, gone way the "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" too soon. I always enjoyed it when he'd go into stories about his time as an actor, especially the ones about B5.

RIP sir, at least you have friends waiting beyond the Rim.
