"Big Friendly Giant" from Roald Dahl comes to live-action on the big screen to join many other giant monster films in the new wave! This film joins "Colossal", "Pete's Dragon", and "A Monster Calls" on the big screen in 2016!

Teaser rather similar to A Monster Calls, huh? Except that one looked more like a kid's movie for adults (like Where the Wild Things Are) and this one looks more like a traditional children adventure in the vein of Peter Pan.
Both movies look good, though.

I think I still have a paperback copy of The BFG on the bookshelf somewhere, it's another good story by Roald Dahl. I'm a bit surprised that it's taken this long for The BFG to get a silver screen adaptation.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

THR:
"This is a story about embracing our differences," says the director who assembled with the stars of the children's book adaptation before the press.
