With the world-wide failure of ASTRO-BOY at the box office, Imagi is folding, which doesn't bode well for the upcoming GATCHAMAN and proposed GIGANTOR (T-28) movies. One of the employees spills the beans on his own blog:

Well we all knew it was going to happen 
I just wished Gatchaman would get finished before it, especially with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom getting such great buzz among gamers. A lot more people would have recognized the characters than Astro-Boy.

It'd be nice to see Imagi get the investment they're looking for, I think it would be great if Imagi could get back on its feet.
I rather liked their work on TMNT. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see Astro Boy in theaters but all the clips I saw looked great. Their T-28 proposal clip was incredible, and what little we saw of Gatchaman was looking good too.

Possibly good news. I wouldn't pretend to think everything is a complete "GO" but it seems Imagi is back in action.
After reading an I researched the Imagi website's and it looks to be true that after much internal restructuring, Imagi is back in business and has scheduled their long-in-production GATCHAMAN feature for 2011.
