Dreadstar in developement for tv.

Last year there was news about Jim Starlin's Dreadstar being made into a movie: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=20459&p=439684&hilit=Dreadstar#p439684
Apparently plans have changed and they are now working on a tv series instead: http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/dreadst ... 201435486/

I view this as good news. Comics have worked well with serialized episodic plotlines that can be transferred easily to the small screen. Look at what has been done with Smallville, Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, and Constantine. Dreadstar is merely people with super powers and magic in a space opera setting. TV f/x has gotten better and better over the last 20 years, there is no reason you couldn't put the world of the Empirical Galaxy on the tv screen. :D

I've never read anything Starlin did that wasn't from the core Marvel 616. So, I'm interested. May pick up some comics and see if I like it.

Dreadstar is my FLCS owner's favorite series. So I have been curious about it. They never finished releasing omnibuses for it so I still haven't undertaken it
