Rankin died last week at the age of 89 at his home in Bermuda.

Lots of memories that I enjoyed as a kid. The Rankin / Bass Christmas specials yes but also “Mad Monster Party”, and “The Daydreamer”. Not to mention his live-action features like “King Kong Escapes” and his association with Tsuburaya Productions for “The Last Dinosaur”, “The Bermuda Depths” and “The Ivory Ape”.

He will be missed, but his work survives him for many others to enjoy.
