I've tried to read a few things of his. I love his ideas but something about his writing makes it hard for me to get into. It's a little too poetic I think as opposed to writing fictional prose. His stuff is magical to read but at a certain point I prefer authors to forego descriptive imagry and just get down to the narrative.

BUT. I actually think, like Alan Moore, his type of writing it tailor made for comic book writing. I'd like to pick up his new Hellraiser series soon as I hear it's very good.

And I still love a lot of the movies based on his work fyi
