As stupid and as horrible as some of the things were in this movie for some reason I really enjoyed it lol.

Anyone else think the alien race was Black Manta lol

I went into this not expecting a thing (especially from a big budget Hollywood action movie) and I ended up enjoying it a lot. Yes, the film had many military film clichés, but I appreciated that it kept the characters simple instead of filling it with a bunch of Hollywood actors who spout punch lines every 5 minutes. The dialogue could've been much worse, and it was nice to NOT see any scenes like Will Smith punching the alien from Independence Day in this one.

I also liked that the aliens were also very simple, not these over-the-top outlandish creatures that Hollywood usually dishes out. The entire movie didn't attempt to overdo anything, just kept things simple, and I thought that made the film work well.
