Since I canceled cable months ago, most of the TV i watch is via netflix. Though I do still watch some shows via rabbit ears if I'm home to catch them. As for my favorites:
The X Files - started watching this again via netflix. When the show was new I didn't really start watching until season 5. So now my wife & I are watching the whole series in order. We've made it almost through season 4 so far (in about 6 months or so...) We are so hooked. I love this show!
The IT Crowd - A british comedy my wife found on Netflix. Quite probably the funniest show I've ever watched. It instantly pushed out The Big Bang Theory as my favorite sitcom. At only 6 episodes a season, it also made me realize something. American shows don't understand the concept of "less is more". When they get something that works they absolutely run it into the ground until it's just old & tired. We also let comedies run too long to the point where people get too attached to the characters and it becomes more of a drama & less of a comedy. "The (american) Office" and "Friends" are two great examples of this. The IT Crowd knows how to cut off something great before it gets stale, which works so well. If you have netflix, do yourself a favor & watch this show!!
The Big Bang Theory I still think Season 1 was the best, but it's still a great show. It's nice to see nerds finally getting the credit they desrve instead of being the comedic punching bag of the "cool" people.
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson- Funniest man on tv. Period.[/b]
