Saw it again today and liked it a lot more. Still not the "reinvention of sci fi" that people make it out to be but its good stuff.

Not sure how many people read/enjoy El Santo's reviews, but I do and I was VERY pleasantly surprised when he broke from his norm of reviewing some old movie I'll never even have the opportunity to see to instead reviewing D9.

is his review, highlights, with little (if any) exaggeration what was good and bad about the film

I just hope to god they don't make a prequel....a sequel could work but a prequel just doesnt seem neccesary

I disagree - a prequel could be fantastic, especially if done more like a neo-noir type of story. I'm concerned a sequel, however, might end up ruining the premise.
