What on EARTH is this from?

Postby kiryugoji04 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 7:58 pm

Not being very knowledgeable on Doctor Who, I was looking up clips on Youtube last night and I ran across a short documentary which included this bizarre little clip:

I assume the cat attacking the city is from something contemporary to the show at the time and not from the show itself. Is this from some (presumably AMAZING) film I have never heard of?

Anyone?

That's really odd -- I don't believe the cat scene is from Doctor Who. I've watched quite a bit of classic Doctor Who over the years (I have dozens upon dozens of hours of PBS off air recordings), and haven't seen anything like that before.

The image on the bottom right is part of the title sequence for a great mid-70s BBC comedy called The Good Life, aka Good Neighbors.

Just watched the clip -- just before The Good Life is mentioned the narrator cites a comedy show called The Goodies. The Wiki article mentions "Kitten Kong" as one of the show's best known episodes/skits.

And someone has even put the "Kitten Kong" episode up online in 4 parts, here's a link to part 1:
