This list was compiled in 1980, so its outdated as hell, but I thought this was interesting. You'll see that this crushes the rumor that he hated Kubrick's the Shining (he just thought it wasn't good as an adaptation, not as a horror film), and you'll also see the H-Man on his list.

The H-Man is truly bad ass. Honda knew how to make a great horror film. People forget that and think of him as a mostly sci-fi guy, but he knew how to make really atmospheric and creepy films as well.
