I could have sworn I made a thread about this here... year ago (?) but I couldn't find it going through my post history.

Anyway, this is actually a part of my childhood. It was a sci-fi show from the mid-80's at least that's when they showed it, not sure when it was made in Japan. It had a time travel theme about a group of people going back in time fighting villains and dinosaurs. There's even this guy who shoots himself out of a canon and become the Red Ranger. It's not Power Rangers. The show wasn't a typical giant monster show, but focuses on dinosaurs. I had no luck googling it. It didn't help that I had to use vague terms and all.

i believe you want Dinosaur Sentai Koseidon- from 1978. it ROCKS.

http://www.superheroeslives.com/interna ... idon_(1978).htm

the hero is Koseider. it's full of action and some pretty great dinosaur suits. the villain is from outer space.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0202193/

i thought i might have had some info at my forum, but alas, it appears to be hidden someplace i can't find it.

Yes! That's it! Thanks for the link. I saw it in the 80's thought it was from then, but I guess I was wrong.

Edit - Thank again man. This sure brings back a lot of memories. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this is by Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. My history with them goes back a lot further than I thought.

The effects held up surprisingly well. The four legged dinosaur anyway. The bipedal duckbill just looks silly. Not many pictures online, but I found an episode to download. Is it ok to post it here? It's just one episode to show everyone what it was like.
