This is a Corman flick isn't it? I know they had scence from it in Piranha that's why I ask.

No, this was not a Corman flick. It was Allied Artists (and I think even MGM) that was involved with this picture. Very underrated 1950s monster flick in my opinion. I like it when these films are set in So. Cal.
