Monsters vs. Aliens

Heres a little bit of info I found interesting, apparently Dreamworks's next CG film is going to be entitled 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and is supposed to featurejust that, monsters fighting aliens....in a comedic, child-friendly way of course. heres what I dug up:

MONSTERS, previously titled REX HAVOC, follows an alien invasion of Earth and a monster hunter, Rex Havoc, enlists some of his former foes - Ick!, Dr. Cockroach, the 50,000 Pound Woman, and Insectosaurus (that's a concept of Insectosaurus below, which you can click on to see a bigger version of) - to help battle the aliens. DreamWorks is planning MONSTERS for a 2009 release after KUNG-FU PANDA and MADAGASCAR 2 in 2008. 2008 will also see the release of the first live-action film utilizing the new digital 3-D process, JOURNEY 3-D starring Brendan Fraser in a retelling of JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH.

there was a story, back in the Warren magazine 1984, that was called "Rex Havoc and the Asskickers of the Fantastic" (a Doc Savage parody) and they fought the giant talking monster Goddammo. not very funny overall. this looks slightly more amusing.
