Goke and Ultra Brothers vs. Monster Army

Postby neo godzilla jr » Mon Apr 11, 2005 12:06 pm

I have a friend who has these, and I was wondering if these were any good.
The only thing I've heard about Goke is that it's like the H-Man, and I've read a brief plot about The Six Ultra Brothers vs. the Monster Army.

BTW, are Ultraman Zearth 1&2 any good?

some people like Goke a lot- it's adequate entertainment.
sadly, the best thing about the SIX ULTRA BROTHERS is the title. unless you like seeing a lot of dancing. it's... not as good as Goke, to be polite.
i enjoyed both Zearth movies, the second one a bit more than the first.
that probably wasn't much help!

God, Ultra Brothers sucked. Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but easily the worst kaiju-related one.

Hanuman was idiotic, and the monsters looked like people had beaten them with rocks before filming began, in addition to the bad paintjob Goji66 mentioned. The only fun thing about them was that Rodan and Gabara's roars were used for them.

The final fight was somewhat fun once the Ultra Bros. joined in, but not much. The ripping off the monster's head and arms, revealing the skull and bones, shocked the hell out of me (and somewhat disturbed me), despite it's comedic nature. And were we supposed to be cheering Hanuman and the Ultra Bros. as they were beating the daylights out of poor, lone Gomora? Cheering the "heroes" was the last thing on my mind during that scene.

Of course, one of the funnier aspects of the fight is that, despite the fight going on for quite some time (around 20/30 minutes, if I recall correctly) not a single Color Timer begins to go off.

I remember reading somewhere that one of the monsters isn't even from an Ultra series. Can anyone confirm this?
