Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

Actually, I find myself torn between the original version and the American version. In some respects, the American version improves the original! For example, the first half of the film (dealing with the deaths in the mines and rampaging Meganuron), is disturbingly silent. I think the American version does a good job adding music to these scenes, drawing out some of the emotion and tension that the original lacks.

Also, I like SOME of Shigeru's narration (mainly, the monologue at the end). As an American, I am unable to really understand the message the filmmakers are trying to convey with this film, my only hint being the moving deaths of the Rodans at the end. Shigeru's final narration really draws out the emotion and emphasizes the tragedy before me.

I like Rodan, and think it's one of the best kaiju films out there. ^_^

It is kinda funny how given the monster a certain power can be consider good or bad.
Rodan'56: Wind breath: Shock wave, Cool and shows some range of thought.
G.I.N.O.: Wind breath: Air Burp, Stupid and seems to be done at the last mintue.

Off-topic (not that anyone is being on topic ), could someone who knows possibly PM me the details on the G-fest suit contest? I've seen some pics, and if the suit I'm working on now turns out right, I'll probably have a very good chance of placing...

Back on topic, is it true that there is stock of a guy clinging to a tree from the 1956 film in every film Rodan's in? Doesn't sound right, but I heard it somewhere...
