I've heard of more juicy,er interesting tidbits about these jewels never made (I'd love to see Toho release some of these since they're going to stop making theatrical G movies (for awhile, please Lord)

1. Mothra vs. Frankenstein: I found this on an old Universal site concerning KK v G. This may have been just a rumor, I dunno.

2. A remake of War of the Gargantuas and Atragon: I have recently heard rumors of these. Tezuka or another director either expressed his want to direct a remake or its more rumors. Henshin! Online ( I think) released a blurb about Toho remaking a great submarine movie. Many fans jumped to a conclusion that Atragon was going to be remade( I don't count Super Atragon as a remake, especially without Manda!)

3. Mothra related stuff: In the original draft of Godzilla vs. the Thing, the original Mothra alone was to fight Godzilla. Then, she was to fight with her children. Finally, Mothra 1 died and Mothras 2&3 get Godzilla back for killing their mommy. Somehow, the adult Mothra was suppose to fight Ghidrah in Ghidrah, either with her child/sibling, or just with Godzilla and Rodan. This was canned, but an artist reportedly painted an adult Mothra in battle with Ghidrah. Finally, Mothra (I dunno which form), was to be in Monster Zero. I haven't heard much about except for her prescence.

4. Good Against Evil: Years ago, I found an article about an unmade psuedo-remake of DAM on a dead site. It was suppose to feature the following creatures: Godzilla, King Kong, Angilas, Rodan, King Seesar, Mechagodzilla, Gigan, King Ghidorah, and other kaiju, including some new kaiju. I didn't know whether or not to believe this, but this guy also said there was a short film with King Goji fighting a yeti-creature and that Nick Adams was believed not to have committed suicide. These two are true, so...

5. Angilas: Gee whiz! Do you know how many times Angilas was suppose to be in a new movie? More times than you can count on your hand! First, Ang was suppose to face the triple threat of Ghidorah, Megalon, and Gigan; with Godzilla. Then, I heard he was suppose to help Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Gargantua. Also, Variety reported he would be joining Godzilla and King Kong in Star Godzilla( although that ain't official). In the hesiei era, Angilas was to be in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, the unmade Godzilla vs. King Kong, and Godzilla vs. Destroyer. In the Millenium seasons, he was going to bein Godzilla 2000, GMK/GBAV, and be a corpse in Tokyo SOS.

Now I just spit out random stuff: In Godzilla vs. King Kong, Kong was to experimented on by a female scientist, for cybernetic purposes. There was a movie in development called Gamera vs. Leoman, but its suppose to the first draft of the swan song Gamera vs. Zigra. In Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla: There was to be a scene where a Godzillasaur fights a Rodan, there were to be two Rodans, Mechagodzilla was to be able to split into two vehicles and be launched by an automated floating dock, Godzilla was to carry Baby off in his mouth at the end, Godzilla was suppose to die and stay dead in one draft and Baby would become a new Godzilla ( to leave it open for yet another Tristar Godzilla feature), the simulated battle was to be played up as a real battle until the end, a revenge crazed American scientist was to create Mechagodzilla, Mechagodzilla was to be built from the remains of weapons Godzilla had destroyed, Mechagodzilla was to return in Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla, Rodan was to stay dead and Garuda was suppose to have a nuclear reactor explosion and that was suppose to bring Godzilla back to life. Mothra and Varan were also suppose to be in Godzilla vs. Destroyer. In Godzilla's first appearence in Gojira, a cow was suppose to be in his mouth (this in keeeping with the original script where he came ashore to feed on livestock and take some women home). Ghidrah was suppose to attack New York in Ghidrah. Varan was suppose to fight Ghidrah and attack San Francisco in DAM. Tokyo was to be totally destroyed in Terror of Mechagodzilla as well as there being two Titans making up Titanosaurus.Angilas was suppose to have a bigger role in Megalon and Mechagodzilla. Mogera originally wasn't in Mysterians, the first monster looked a lot like Godzilla.Godzilla was originally suppose to have a daughter! War in Space was suppose to be to Battle in Outer Space 2, and thus be a second sequel to the Mysterians. In the American release of Return of Godzilla, the wino's hand was suppose to be sticking out of the rubble, with his watch set on the time the A-bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Leslie Nielsen and Lorne Greene were suppose to be in Godzilla 1985, alonq with several American military scenes. Godzilla was suppose to fight a mutated starfish after Godzilla vs. Hedorah. A fan wrote a script called Godzilla vs. the Mysterians in 1990;Angilas, Rodan, and Godzilla were suppose to fight a second invasion in Las Vegas, but Tanaka canned it. Frankenstein vs. Baragon was originally King Kong vs. Frankenstein, then Frankenstein vs. Godzilla, and Frankenstein vs. the Devilfish, but Saperstein felt the Odako wouldn't be much of a feature kaiju, although he asked the giant octupus to be in a special ending for the US, but he didn't use it! Toho worked with Hammer Studios to produce Nessie- the Loch Ness Monster, but Hammer pulled out (Heh, Nessie was used in the remake of Princess of the Moon, which almost featured Megumi Odaka!). The Godzilla skeleton in Godzilla X Mechagodzilla was originally to be found on the Moon! Tanaka originally wanted Ghidorah to be an alien monster and to be found on Venus in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. Ghidorah was originally suppose to be blue or rainbow colored! Godzilla originally was suppose to be a mutated Tyrannosaur. Godzilla was suppose to smash a lighthouse before attacking Tokyo in Gojira. Dr. Yamane was originally suppose to be a dark, Edgar Allan Poe character. There was suppose to be a sequel to War of the Gargantuas, called the Frankenstein Brothers in 1970. Godzilla was originally suppose to wash ashore on Kuroda Beach then attack Rolisica in Godzilla vs. the Thing. The Mothra larva was suppose to be like a worm with attennae and the adult was suppose to be like a dragonfly. The original Rodan was suppose to have an atomic breath like Godzilla (you can see some vapor coming out of Rodan's mouth during the attack on Sasebo)Ishiro Honda was suppose to direct Return of Godzilla but backed out. Gamera originally was supposed to be a movie about giant rats. Destroy All Monsters was suppose to feature more monsters, breeding and crossbreeding experiments, and the Moonlight SY3 fight King Ghidorah. Gamera was suppose to be immediately attacked by the JSDF when he came ashore in Gamera, Guardian of the Universe. There were plans for Universal to remake King Kong vs. Godzilla. And I'm pretty much spent!

Neo, are you asking us if this stuff is true or were you just wanting to prattle off random obscure stuff about the films (some of it's not true)?

I know 90% is true, I have reported most of the rumors. I'm just adding my 5400 cents worth. I have a keen interest in unmade movies. Some of this stuff I got from interviews, others from Steve Ryfle's book "Japan's Favorite Mon-Star" and G-Fan. I can guarantee most of what I have posted is true. If not, I-I, I'll eat a tofu burger! YUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKK!! :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: Heh, first time I used that one!

Enshoma, we've got a varying account here: according to Shogo Tomiyama in an interview, it was the writer (not Tezuka-- the other one) who put Angilas as a corpse in the script. Tomiyama immediately vetoed it because "if we're bringing Angilas back, it's not as a corpse."

Odd...
