Why didnt Rodan ever get more movies

Rodan OWNS Mothra....
I never got why Rodan never had more films...

First off...maybe I'm getting old but I really hate when people say something OWNS something else. What the hell is that even supposed to mean.
Secondly, Toho probably doesnt think Rodan is profitable any more. I'm sure Rodan will show up in "Final Wars" though.

You know my buddy gave me the orginal from don't name bootleggers on MZ and it was excellent. I had not seen it since I was little, and that was ahwile ago. This is a real good file and the story is solid. The only thing was the ending. Why did the Rodan pair just kill them selves on that Volcano? Rodan should play a major role in Final Wars. He has always been Godzilla's ally kind of lurking in the shadows. I much like him more than Mothra.
