I love this movie. It really should have been "Frankenstein's Monster vs. Baragon" since just saying "Frankenstein" isn't accurate.

Very entertaining throughout, classic daikaiju cinema. Nick Adams is great in it, and Kumi Mizuno is gorgeous. Too bad she wasn't in more Godzilla movies!

Something I noticed about Frankenstein

I got an un-cut version of Frankenstein vs. Baragon for Christmas. Now, I already had Frankenstein conquers the world( which I taped off the great, old AMC (WAAA!!). After watching the subtitled print, I released something was amiss! There were numerous scenes cut of Frankenstein cut out! WHAT THE DEUCE?! THe scene with Frankenstein stepping (ok, nearly[i] stepping) on the policeman , some growling, the evasion of the police, and parts of the fight between Frankenstein and Baragon were cut out! These scenes really change the viewers' opinion of Frankenstein.
Can someone clue me in?

Really a great movie

Hi there, I'm new - please be friendly :)

I really love Frankenstein vs. Baragon - it's fast, cool and dramatic ...
a lot of kaiju movies made me ask for more - especially because the potential was there, but often not used.
this is one of the most outstanding kaiju movies of all time!! ... really.

Which movies do you think come close to this one? [maybe you have some suggestions for me]

... here in germany most of the godzilla movies of that time had a title with "frankenstein" or "king kong", because these names sold more tickets. godzilla was frankenstein and mechagodzilla was king kong ... except when it comes to the mecha king kong - he was called frankenstein ... whatever.
after you worked your way through this jungle and think you know there is no frankenstein you get kind of confused when you realize that there is ONE. a really good one. well, there's always a little truth behind faked titles. ... ok maybe not.

How about Frank, from FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER? That was from 65 as well, but probably released over here first.
