When I saw the international subtitled print of NOSTRADAMUS (subbed as "Catastrophe: 1999") back in 1979, Tomita's music made the short hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Awesome and eerie score... I believe a soundtrack LP was released by Toho Records (I know there was a 45rpm), and in the late 1980s and late 1990s, two different soundtrack CDs were released. Just amazing.
I saw the original version about four times on the big screen, twice in 1979 (on a double bill with THE BLOODTHIRSTY ROSES) and twice in 1980 (with BLOODTYPE: BLUE). I was super dissapointed with the LDOPE version I saw in late 1980 or early 1981 on local television. If you can score an uncut version of the film, I highly recommend getting it.
