This series is incredible. They made a WISE choice bringing it out in SUBTITLED. This series is personally one of my Favorite series of all time.
There is just one thing that is bothering me!!!!! Are they actually going to make a new Daimajin or not!? If anybody has any news on if they are and what the storyline is, PLEASE TELL!

^^Probably pretty much the same, but I hope they kinda "Mire-ise" him (i.e. make him meaner and spikier, skinnier, possibly even a little Evangelion-esqe? I know that doesn't make much sense with a giant warrior statue, but trust me I can see it in my head and it looks SU-WEET!)

You guys have seen the Godzilla Color Special from Dark Horse that came out in 1992, right? It has Godzilla fighting an "updated" version of Daimajin called Gekido-Jin.......its pretty damn cool. Here's a scan of a couple of panes:

I actaully started to make my own Gekido-Jin action figure, but stoppped after a while. The clothing was too dificult to get correct..

I have no idea where I heard this, but I remeber something about an American made Daimajin film with Kevin Costner in it. Was this really going to happen and if so, what happened?

The "Costner" version indeed died, but Yasuyoshi Tokuma, the former president of the Tokuma incarnation of Daiei, said that he still planned to bring Daimajin back -- in fact, the new owners of Daiei, as Kadokawa-Daiei, are not only working to bring back Daimajin, but also remakes/sequels to its YOKAI MONSTERS films.

Peace!

Well, it's almost been a year since Daiei last spoke of the new Daimajin film. I guess we can call it dead in the water.
