The fact that this film is bad is apart of its charm. It is certainly better than some showa gamera films. Also the film gets some points for having the first kaiju die from rectal bleeding...

Odd that some fans seem fixated on "rectal bleeding" in this film, which is not even true.

I can't imagine most people care where the blood is coming from, except a few anally obsessed fans...

I've seen a German widescreen print of the film, and it looks like a completely different movie at times - especially the monster scenes. Some of the effects flaws aren't as noticeable either. I forget where exactly the blood comes out,(and I'm not going to over-analyse that scene just to find out either) but I've gotta say that's one of the most heart-rending monster death scenes I've ever seen. You really feel sorry for the beast dying like that, while the main cast look on grinning. (the swines!:))
Still, it's a fun movie, and I enjoy it alot more than most of the modern films.
