Am I correct? It sounds like him (on more than one character's voice too!).
Btw, this thought came to me as I watched my old Vestron VHS copy
of Rodan.
Is the Alpha dvd the same print?

Alpha didn't release the ROdan DVD, Classic Media did. For the price, it looks decent to me.
