The latter of which spawned an obscure sub-genre of the era - Pachimon Kaiju.
Pachimon is the collective shorthand used for these various Japanese postcards, playing cards, and trading cards, from late 1960's and early 1970's. Featuring both original monsters created through illustration, and 'burrowed' photo manipulations, from more famous film and television characters.
Despite the wealth of aforementioned originals, it was the 'rip-off' renderings that gave Pachimon (Japanese for 'stolen monsters') its more infamous reputation. Hopefully a more accurate (or fair) terminology will make itself present in the future, but until then, we too will refer to these as Pachimon Kaiju.
*********
I was originally planning on adding the following images into the Cool Pictures thread. But because there's so many Pachimon cards out there (and please take this into consideration, moderators), that I felt a separate thread would be the better option.
Especially since a lot of the images I'm about to upload here, comes from my own personal collection, gathered over the years from across the internet. And supply character names when possible, as well as getting translating assistants where needed.
ENJOY EVERYONE!

'Manhattan Pachimon' or Metton as some fans have nicknamed it - likeness taken from Baragon

Tobozu, AKA Tohboze - likeness taken from Gamera

Fan art of Tobozu by yours truly (his back should have been flatten, like the original card)

Danopura, AKA Rondon (as in 'London Pachimon') - original design, not counting the photo backdrop.

Re-purposed playing card version of Danopura

Gorira, or Giant Gorilla - likeness (at least the body) taken from Gigass, from "Ultraman"

Gondorasu, AKA Roma ('Rome Pachimon') - likeness taken from unknown sources.

Re-purposed playing card version of Gondorasu

Tonga - likeness taken from Starbem Geryon, from "Ultra Seven"

Robosu - original design, though the name appears to be a Japanese fan-made nickname

Zasuneku - re-purposed playing card, taken from an older bromide Kaiju series

Burumu - re-purposed playing card, taken from an older bromide Kaiju series

Name and likeness of this ape is unknown, but some sources refer to him as Nink.

Name is unknown, but the face is taken from Gossler of "Captain Ultra" (1967). I like to call this monster 'Pachimon Gossler' for accuracy sake.

Zerako - likeness taken from Baragon and / or Neronga from "Ultraman" (himself a refurbished Baragon).
