I loved the first Detective Dee film and was lucky enough to see it in theaters. I'm excited that they are doing a sequel, though I'm disappointed that Andy Lau won't be returning. I'm not familiar with Mark Chao so I can't comment on if he'll be any good in the role.

I'm also suspicious as to if there will be an actual sea dragon in this film, as there wasn't really anything "supernatural" in the first film. I mean except those magically manipulated deer.

Either way count me in when this comes state side.

WOWWWWWW!! This movie was sooo great and the giant monster[not at all what you'd expect it to be by the titling as both the artworks and titling are misleading] was fantastic!! The gigantic monster was very unique and the fx of the big creature were beautiful and the action was great. It also had it's fair share of laughs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!:

I had this sent on release day, but keep forgetting about it! I will have to set aside some time on my next day off. I also ordered the first movie in the series to watch first!
