Latitude Zero Ending
I just got Latitude Zero for my birthday. Fantastic set. Great film.
But aside from all that...what was up with that ending?
*SPOILERS*
First, I assumed McKenzie and Dr. Tashiro had boarded the ship, disguised as military officers in an effort to fool Lawton into believing everything was a dream, even going as far as sabotaging his film and replacing the diamonds with dirt...
THEN I see Malic. WTF? He's ****ing dead!
So, of course, I assume the whole film was a product of Lawton's imagination (kind of lame, right?). But then the officers receive notice that there's a load of diamonds waiting for Lawton, obviously derived from Latitude Zero!
...what?
I assume there's no clear explanation of this ending as it's apparently supposed to have been left ambiguous. But I'd like to hear some theories anyway...
