The plot, he tells us, “concerns Shunka, a late-20s hairdresser dissatisfied with the nothing-to-do/nowhere-to-go life in her small town in the Japanese Alps. Unknown to her, an alien scout ship piloted by beings under the control of parasitical creatures has landed in the wilderness nearby. Having already enslaved much of the Milky Way, the invaders aim to add all terrestrial animal life to their ranks. With the aid of an ex-boyfriend and her teenage hair-washer assistant, Shunka must contend with unwieldy aliens, parasite-carrying wild boars and the local bureaucracy in order to put down the invasion and save the town she cares little for!â€
