Pachi-Mon Cards: Fact or Hoax?

Pachi-Mon Cards: Fact or Hoax?

I stumbled upon this today, which appears to be a Japanese website featuring a bizarre series of possibly 1970s trading cards.

My only clue to the name of this series in Pachi-Mon and they seem to be a collection of original monster images, except that the monsters in question appear to be thinly disguised, or altered photo versions of better known TV and film kaiju. Excellent example is this monster Daigorus (going by the link name here) whose basically Eleking from "Ultraseven" but made up with Godzilla like features:

(scroll down pass Eleking's mug shot)

As you can see, this site acknowledges that fact that these suppoese 'new' monsters are weird alterations of exsisting ones. Another example is Tozubo, scroll down and its the 1965 "Gamera", but brown, without turtle shell and with the head horns of Sebouzu of "Ultraman" 1966 fame.

Not all the cards featured are photo alterations, some are full paintings, but the design's influences are still strong, like our friend Okishidron here...Baltan Alien anyone?

The wrose offender is perhaps Henshine Rider, a barly disguised Kamen Rider 1 with wasp like features here:

That last character leads me to ask the million dollar question: minus the rather annoyed looking Ultraman like site mascot, are these cards and characters for real? Or is this a very well done, Photoshop made Japanese fan prank / fiction?

I look forward to any replies, and even more so, straight answers to my question.

That first link, showing a gaudy giant eurypterid, is actually pretty neat.

Picking through some of the links on that first page, I see various movie images, including Baragon and a certain famous "cavegirl." It seems obvious that the altered images are not meant to be taken as "real."
Does anyone else listen to Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" and think of "Save the Earth?"
