On October 1st, TCM will be showing GOKE BODYSNATCHER FROM HELL at 2:00AM.

And on October 8th, they'll be showing THE X FROM OUTER SPACE at 2:00AM.

Both are very surprising! So someone must still have the US rights to 'X'.

Goke rules and Guilala is crazy 70s fun. Both great films. Nice to see someone still showing kaiju movies every once and a while.

Lets face it; TCM is the greatest TV channel on now. Just last night I stayed up way to late watching Woody Allen movies, and has anyone seen the compilation trailer of the month's programming on TCM with that song by the band The Muse? Its incredible! They're showing Rashomon and Yojimbo next Tuesday on their salute to Janus films thing.

A few years ago X From Outer Space was played constantly on Showtime's digital cable channels. It would be neat if TCM got a widescreen print though, and of course a DVD release would be fantastic. I've never seen Goke, so that's very cool

If it weren't for TCM I never would have seen the original Mothra (a few years ago on their giant bug marathon), The Green Slime (last year), and becomes such a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan (their Miyazaki film festival earlier this year).

Hell, if the original Gojira is ever shown on US TV my money's on it being shown on TCM.

Anyone catch GOKE last night? TCM showed the uncut, widescreen Japanese version with English subtitles. Very nice!
