“In the Eighties - when special effects were still an unknown commodity in the Hindi film industry - I had the chance to work with a Japanese team for my directorial venture, Aatank. Working at the high-tech Toyo Studio in Japan, we created a 30-foot monster shark. It took us an army of interpreters and several months to complete the shooting schedule, but as an experience, it was simply out of the world.â€

Reminds me a little of Chaiyo's Crocodile, only much better (and less of a mess).
Toyo Studios? Hmmmm . . . Were they a freelance SPFX studio in Japan, or did the director mean Toho or some other major company?

So I would assume that Megalon reverted back to Toho. It would be ironic if Sony get its because in theroy they could sublicene's a release of the mst3k version of that and Sea Monster. Granted that will never happen. Oh well "keep circulating the tapes"
