Some thoughts on Mothra (1961)
Posted: Sun Aug 28, 2005 1:03 amGood flick. The Larva Mothra was very realistic looking compared to other films Mothras been in. Mothra herself however, looked king of like an old, ragged doll. But hey, it was her first appearence.
I loved the villan, he was such a "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!". SPOILER ALERT: (Highlight to read) I loved how his last act before he got killed was to swipe an old man's cane. That's like kicking a puppy with your last dying breath!
One question; When the tiny twin fairies are singing at the concert hall, how come no one is using binoculars?!! They're only 10-12 inches tall! Could you imagine being the guy who has to watch this in the back row with no binoculars?! You'd go blind from squinting.
