In terms of music, the military march in WotG is my absolute favorite and in my opinion the best of Toho's sci-fi films. Maybe not the best of all of them, but out of all that I've seen, that one gets my feet stomping more than any other.


I want that played at my wedding, or my funeral, whichever comes first.

I first saw WotG as a double feature with FCtW (not my first viewing of that) for a movie night when the WotG/Rodan set came out. If I recall correctly, Planetxleader and Inferior Rodan both hyped it a pretty good deal. Me? Not impressed in the slightest. FCtW was and still is INFINITELY better. Plus, it has one of my favorite FX scenes in a Toho film EVER: Baragon's attack on the oil drilling site!

Which film is better...WotG vs. FCTW....

I love the conflict of the brothers in WotG, and the masers!

Buuuut.....FCTW has Nick Adams, Baragon, a Hammer Horror esqu opening...and an overall better story.

Off the top of my head I think I like the score in WotG better.

I think FCTW is a better film (I think Honda even said so) but I think I watch WotG more..
