I quite like this one. It's really the ultimate 50s era Toho genre movie alongside the original Godzilla. I'd love for it to receive the Criterion treatment someday. It makes great use of color and effects, the villains are suitably sinister (even tragic) and Honda's optimistic viewpoint of humanity really shines through. I certainly prefer it over Battle in Outer Space (haven't seen Gorath yet ).
