I've been waiting with this one until a certain group are finished subtitling it, I don't want to have to start and stop all the time. Could be a while off from watching it all, but I'd rather it that way.

I wish I had waited. The discs I have are funny. The subs on the first disc are fine, but the second disc subs are really weird. I could pretty much get what was being said, but the characters names were spelled differently and stuff, and the subtitle dialogue was pretty messed up. Even so, I got over it after a while and I still enjoyed it thoroughly.

Over-ti.me is up to episode 15 and moving very quickly. They are, however, softsubs so if anyone needs raws... well, I won't say I DON'T know where to get them... >>

Episode 6: This show is beautiful. Can't get over how nice the cinematography is. It's funny - what action there is is really cool and very well-done but the slow drama portions are what I'm digging most of all here. I like that it's basically a drama infused with subtle aspects of fantasy that occasionally take the spotlight.

MY, HOW UNLIKE DAIMAJIN.

Actually, this entire episode I was getting HEAVY Shinji vibes from Kanon - like, Shinji if he were an extremely beautiful girl of legal age - and several scenes, particularly a really artsy one towards the end, felt awfully similar to Eva. I mean that in a good way though.

For as slow as this series moves, episode 9 felt like the first episode that was actually filler. Good filler - don't get me wrong - but filler all the same. Still fun though.

Ah, TOSHIO Miike. He's the guy who did the FX for Ultraman Saga and I believe he was the production designer for the Gamera Trilogy. He's pretty awesome.

Man, I need to finish watching this series. I was loving it about 10 episodes into it.

I'm almost to the end, finished episode 23 at work last night, and so far I'm enjoying this series. If you want the monster fight of the week you'll be disappointed. But if you want a good progressing storyline and likeable characters this is a great show to watch. It's been building up to the big finale, I hope it's a good one.

I think I'll watch Yokai Ningen Bem after this.
