I just saw it with my friends and my girlfriend, I just have to say, it was hilarious! It was more comedy than action though, and a lot of parts could have been better. Some parts were wierd. Good story, not so bad movie. Very entertaining!

Shim Plans D-War Sequel in '09 (Source) 2007/09/24

A sequel to the domestic monster movie 'D-War' appears to be in the works sooner than expected.

During a news conference at the Korean Cultural Center in New York, comedian-turned-film director Shim Hyung-rae said he has received a proposal to shoot a sequel very soon, targeting a summer 2009 release date.

Shim said that he is discussing a possible release for "D-War" in Europe and that preparations will begin Thursday for its opening in Japan.

The sci-fi blockbuster about a legendary Korean serpent earned six-point-six million dollars in the U.S. in its second week of release as of last Friday.

But the number of screens showing the film has slipped by 29 to 2,246, and it has now fallen from eighth to 12th at the box office.

Saw this last week. I liked it! No, it's not a particularly good movie, but it's a lot of cheesy fun. There's certainly no dearth of action and FX, I'll tell you that - it's never boring. Dragons vs. military action aplenty, which is more than I heard you got in Reign of Fire (never saw it). The downtown LA battle scenes, as well as the ending, are downright spectacular.

For Dragon Wars to be this director's next film after Reptilian shows an improvement in his filmmaking prowess by at least 1000% (the FX are, of course, a lot better, too).

Gotta admit - I liked this better than that other Korean monster film of recent vintage (The Host). So sue me.

its going to be cobra vs python vs d war snake/cobra !!!!!!!

the effect are good but the movie is scfi channel material .

only the last 30 minutes of the movie are good and worth watching .

interesting note :the manda looking dragon
