Few Questions about Prophecies of Nostradamus/LDOPE

1. Are the suits the New Guinea explorers wear the ones from "Mothra" used for the explorers in that film?
2. According to a Japanese website a Toho Kingdom member found, it appeared that the film was flipped vertically for it's American release. Any reason why? (By the way, I'll post the link here if anyone wants to visit the site.)
3. Does anyone have a clue where to get a good copy of the international or Japanese version?

Nothing unusual for any movie studio, really... that's what the Wardrobe and Prop Departments used to be for -- nowadays, studios can't get away with stuff like that, since the audience is far too savvy. "Hey look! They used that gun in ALIENS!" But, they did get some milage out of those armored uniforms from STARSHIP TROOPERS. Some of the creatures in the original STAR TREK were taken from masks created for THE OUTER LIMITS, and even big budget films employed props and wardrobe from other films...
