I haven't seen FvsB so I can't compare. But here's a few things I liked in this movie:
1. Plot... A good monster tries to stop his bad brother from doing bad things. The good monster fails. Humans are stupid as usual. (Now that I write it down... Indian Runner is clearly a rip-off from WOTG
2. The miniatures. Monsters don't have beams. So they have to physically smash into the buildings. They have to take a rock to destroy something long distance. No explotions covering bad miniatures. Thank God (and Eiji Tsuburaya) there are no bad miniatures. The BUILDINGS were amazing! A love them (If they were 15 years younger I'd marry them :kitty: )! Why they didn't do these more? Why?
3. The suits. They look good and don't shrink in the water. Especially the heads were great (real eyes instead of puppet ones and the hair style looked so cool ). And I loved the fact that when the monsters got hurt they didn't instantaniously (I bet I spelled that wrong) heal or regenerate.
The one thing I didn't like was the very ending. It had a "deux-ex-machina" feeling. Where did that vulcano come from?
PS. Sorry for bad grammatic or spelling. I don't often write in English.
PPS. When is this coming to DVD?
PPPS. "Let's call our Frankenstein-expert, Dr. Stewart"
