I don't know that I would call either INFRA-MAN (greatest superhero movie ever) or GOLIATHON (MIGHTY PEKING MAN) co-productions with any studios in Japan. I'm sure the Shaws imported some Japanese help, but made the movies on their own.
And last I checked, HK was in China... :lol:

Well, since the topic of THUNDER OF GIGANTIC SERPENT...

And FAIRY & THE DEVIL has come up yet again I might as well point you in the direction of my reviews for that movie and two other kaiju flicks.

Id have to say I have Fairy & the devil as well as thunder of giant serpent.Both are pretty cool but F & D has some way cool kaiju in it.If anyone can tell me the real name of this movie because it has a slapped on title and I'm guessing thats not the real name.

@kaijubringer:

> BTW the guy eventually escaped from North Korea.

As far as I know he and his wife made it to the USA where he, among other things, co-wrote which is basically "Pulgasari for children".

Another piece of information about Shim Hyung Rae: The live action sequences of are from one of his films. The Korean original was heavily butchered and released in the USA as well as Germany (under the title Power Warriors). This movie was heavily influenced by Star Wars, features an evil emperor, two space princesses, a "hero" in a red-silver costume, and a huge robot. Also, a lot of bad acting and silly dialogues.

so does anyone know about the release of D War. The trailer looks fantastic and it was to have come out in 2003. I have yet to find it anywhere but the official website which does not indicate if it was actually released or not.

Has anyone run across a NTSC all region copy of the Thaikaiju film GARUDA? And would anyone with a copy of fairy and the devil be willing to share the film with other fans?
