I just watched the DVD (a few days ago). This has to be one of the most energetic kaiju flicks I have ever seen. The last 20 minutes is nothing but sheer brutality first with the army and next with the robot 'Robo'. I await to see the movie subbed, but for what I saw this movie was AMAZING!

Oh, and it is quite bloody as well.

Did you watch a store bought DVD? I have several version of this film as it is from over the years. The thing is, I busted my ass last year doing subs for this film for when it played at the Yubari film fest. But often Japanese companies won't release a film with English subs as they don't want to jeopardize a western release. So glad to waste my time like that...
