Now this looks absolutely awesome! Nikkatsu studios from Japan are starting a new daring film label named Sushi Typhoon and this is set to be their first effort. It will be directed by Seiji Chiba and Yuji Shimomura. It features ninjas versus a large humanoid reptilian alien kaiju. I recently saw ALIEN VS NINJA and thought it was it was fun. Imagine an over the top, low budget PREDATOR with ninjas rather than soldiers and you'll have a pretty clear idea of what to expect.

FUNimation has signed a first look deal with Sushi Typhoon, with AVN and the splatter comedy MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD coming up first:

I just did a piece on this and MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD in preparation of the launch ofd Sushi Typhoon in New York this coming weekend. It's an interview with AVN director Seiji Chiba and MGS directors Iguchi and Nishimura.

Through an oversight at the studio I haven't seen AVN yet, but I did the subs on MGS, so I've seen that more than I care to remember. I quite enjoyed it. Insane stuff, but fun.
