Question about War of the Gargantuas

Postby Russzilla » Sat Jan 14, 2006 1:54 pm

I'm watching War of the Gargantuas this morning and there's something i've always wanted to know. In the original japanese version, when Gaira attacks the airport and eats that woman, he spits out her clothing, but they don't show it landing on the ground. They just show that bouquet of flowers. But in the US version, they do show her torn clothing landing on the ground, then the flower bouquet is shown. My question is this. Why is this not shown in the japanese version, but shown in the US version?

I must have missed both parts about Gargantuas and G85 when I first read the report. Good to hear G85 may get a release after all. Although it wasn't one of Godzilla's best, it was the first Godzilla movie that I saw, and for that, it's special to me.

Great news although it's sad to hear about Mothra, GvB, etc. all just sitting in their respective holders vaults and collecting dust.

*Operation L March plays booming from his old 1960s JSDF Jeep dressed in green JGSDF fatigues pulling into this thread*

=< I only hope the Operation L/Maser Cannon marches are heard in the US Release of War of the Gargantuas. To this day I STILL have no idea as to why the march was replaced by stock music from The Blood Waters of Dr. Z

I KNOW it was played a bit too much in the movie, but that doesn't answer my original question as to why it was removed.

*pulls out and drives away with the march still playing*
