Posted: Mon Oct 18, 2004 10:27 pmI hate how people who want to seem "smart" always have to justify liking kaiju films. "When you're 35 and still watch these movies.......",whatever. If people think you're stupid for liking Godzilla,the hell with them. You never see Trekkies or Warsies (just made that up) or comic book fans apologize for liking those things,and most people accept those groups as being intelligent (allthough maybe socially backwards). I tell people I like Godzilla,and I don't instantly add some disclaimer,as if I know they aren't "really" good,because I know whatever "Day After Tommorrow" BS your average Joe likes is far dumber. Incidentally,most people that I tell about my Godzilla viewing think the movies are cool,I've only been busted on once or twice.
