Imaginary Worlds is a terrific podcast that dives into the creation of pop culture. Episodes deal with things like the art for Magic the Gathering cards ot the influence of Islamic culture on Frank Herbert's Dune. You know, cool stuff like that.

I was happy to see an episode tackle Godzilla, but these guys don't tend to go all in on a general subject; they zero in on more specific target. And we end up with an episode about Akira Ifukube! Great overview of his career, his nationalist beliefs in contrast with Honda's, the Ainu people's influence on his music... all in a half hour!
