That's Desplat. People were so excited to have him doing the scorr but I always had reservations about his ability to provide something memorable and not just "atmospheric". The score is awful, imho. I can only handle listening to one, maybe 2 or 3 tracks from the soundtrack in entirety. I feel like he mailed it in. Really hoping he gets replaced.

In 1993 Toei released Gosei Sentai Dairanger on TV to all of those living in Japan and footage from it was used for the second season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Thanks to Shout! Here it is, my list for the Top 10 Worst Godzilla movies (thus far).

My bottom 10 would be:

G2K - Overrated, shoddy effects, and Orga is a poorly executed monster. The end battle is boring.
Godzilla vs. Hedorah - I get why some people like it, but it's not for me. It's basically Godzilla on acid and G flies. It also has the worst score of the series.
Godzilla vs. Megalon - The agony of the rehashed score from Hedorah and, quite frankly, it's just boring. It's a shame, because I love Gigan and Megalon in general.
Godzilla Final Wars - The Matrix is not Godzilla. Go away.
Godzilla Raids Again - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Godzilla's Revenge - Too much stock footage despite being a decent kiddie film.
Godzilla vs. Megaguirus - Horrible.
Godzilla vs. Mothra 92 - Even worse.
Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla - The cure for insomnia!
Godzilla 98 - ......so much hate.

I left G98 off this list because its too easy. Also while all these films are in my bottom third of Godzilla films, I still watch them all the time as they still have some pretty fun monster action. SpaceGodzilla, Battra, and Megaguirus are all pretty sweet kaiju that happen to be in truly terrible films. GFW is awful because it tries to do too much and doesn't know what type of film it wants to be and as such the all the kaiju kinda get turned into just background noise. Megalon is fun but can be a chore to sit though while sober. Mechagodzilla 93 and Destroyah have interesting concepts but are executed terribly. Smog Monster is one of those films that I am bipolar about. Some years I think its the best film ever, other years I can't make it 5 minutes into it without falling asleep. Tokyo SOS has great spfx and the best Mothra prop since the original however the story is complete "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!". Its just a ripoff of Godzilla vs the Thing with Mechagodzilla thrown in to glam it up. And finally, Terror of MechaGodzilla is a solid film, it just happens to be a Showa film I'm never in the mood for. If I am going to watch a Mechagodzilla film 9/10 its going to be the 74 film. King Caesar is a much more interesting kaiju than Titanosaurus in my opinion. The music is lighter, the atmosphere is more fun and honestly the entire mood of Terror of Mechagodzilla is just so depressing and dour it makes it a hard watch for me at times. So of the Japanese Godzilla films. Godzilla vs Space Godzilla is the worst of the worst in my opinion, but despite the ratings, I still find something to enjoy in these films.

So it seems like all three of us have a number 10 that we love, but it just happens to go on there because that is how it all ranks up.

Ultimately for me, my number 10 came down to Son or Gigan, but despite my issues with Gigan, I still enjoy the movie more than Son.

Final Wars is a movie that I just can't hate no matter how much I want to. Every time I watch it thinking it is going to be awful this time around I still find something I really enjoy about it. It's not a very good Godzilla movie, but it is a fun as **** bad action movie, and a Kitamura one at that. His signature is all over it.

From best to worst, by bottom 10 are as follows:

20. Godzilla's Revenge (1969) - I actually find this movie rather entertaining, and I would say that this film is generally underrated by most fans, but it's still not great, which is why it tops the list.
21. Son of Godzilla (1967) - Another film that's just kind of meh. I rarely watch this film.
22. Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000) - I haven't watched this movie since finishing the original Ultraman series, so there's a chance I might find the homages to the late 1960s movies more entertaining, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
23. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1993) - This movie has too many cringe-worthy moments to really be that good. I consider this movie overall to be really bland.
24. Godzilla Raids Again (1955) - This movie has a weird structure and drags on a little too much. I don't hate it as much as I used to, but it's simply out shined by the other Golden Age movies.
25. Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971) - This is a film that I really want to like for the uniqueness factor, but at the end of the day it's just boring. I've tried showing it to my friends to highlight how crazy and non-standard Godzilla films can be, and by the last fight sequence the movie is just dragging its feet.
26. Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) - This is a poor Godzilla movie but it's at least entertaining. A good movie to show newbies from a pure campiness perspective, but it's not going to convince anyone that Godzilla is cool.
27. Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla (1994) - Boring. It's rather standard fare for the Heisei series, but it's the second worse of the bunch.
28. Godzilla 1998 - The first half hour of the movie, minus attempts at humor, are really good. Even Godzilla's first attack is handled pretty well, and then Godzilla hides and the movie goes to sh!t real quick.
29. Godzilla Final Wars (2004) - This is probably the only Godzilla movie that I actually find offensive. It feels more like a lampoon of the franchise than the "Evil Dead" style camp that a lot of this movie's proponents say it is. I especially dislike how badly Godzilla takes a 2nd seat to his 50th anniversary picture so we can instead watch a really bad action movie. I don't care if this is Kitamura's style, because it's possible for someone to have a consistent style and vision and still be a bad director. I didn't like Versus either.
30. Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) - This is just a poorly made film. I wouldn't harsh on it so badly if it wasn't trying to imitate a much better picture, and it wasn't so obvious that they basically stuck Godzilla into the picture where ever they needed to advance the story.
