I thought the question was going to be, "Can he see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?"

The bird-call plan always struck me as kinda weird. I mean, I can see where the movie's coming from in making the connection between Godzilla and birds, but it never struck me as very cinematic in execution. I don't recall there being a lot of risk or drama involved. Then again, I haven't watched G85 in a long time, so I could be wrong. It might've been nice to see it crop up again in later movies, but it's no deal-breaker.

While the bird thing worked well in Godzilla 1985, I feel like hitting that note again would have been a little redundant. I'm more concerned with fresh storytelling than with continuity.
