Godzilla Music Videos...?

Evan was ranting and raving about this over on his blog...

...and I started wondering just how often has Godzilla gotten movie tie-in music videos. I know Evan isn't right about this, because there was a music video for Mothra's Song for Godzilla vs Mothra in 1992. Was there one for "Echoes of Love"?

I don't know how exactly Gamera having music video tie-ins makes him better or more unique than Godzilla. But we all know that Evan does think that G3 is better than Gojira, so I'm not surprised.

I don't even know why we humor this kid...or why people still view his site.

Then again...who knows we could all just be the old crusty guys who just can't accept the changing face of the fandom or his personal unique "vision" if this were like one of those inspirational movies told from his point of view....

I hope that's not the case and G2K isn't laughing about all of this 20 years from now when he somehow has managed to milk some sort of success of out whatever he is trying to do with his fanatic love for the genre....

For the moment I'm just going to have to say this kid has alot to learn about balancing his love for the genre with real life and his talent thus far is not really there as far as writing goes but that takes time to develop which is why i think he's jumped the gun a little bit in starting his own blog so early in life...developing decent writing skills in private and then showing his work to the world could have saved him alot of heartache and trouble..

And yes...Blue Oyster Cult probably should count if not more so because it wasn't commisioned by the film company and was done as an homage, a work of love...

And as much as I love G3 it does not equal Gojira

Edit* I don't know why that even though alot of people don't like Evan that they continue to check out his blog just to punch holes in the guys work. I dont like his particular brand of "journalism" which is why I don't check out his site. If he doesn't burn out of the fandom, then perhaps someday he really could become someone reputable within the genre. ( though he's developing alot of ill will, which is why like I said, he should have started very slowly)

I just really don't really understand the need the keep bringing him up just to tear him down in what seems like new sub group for all threads that could possibly be titled..."Look What Crazy Crap Evan just Wrote"

I have no love for the guy but I'd like to forget about him for a while and see if maybe in a couple of years if he gets any better
