This sounds like two books I own, both by James O'Neill: Terror on Tape and Sci-Fi on Tape. The only difference is that Mr. O'Neill mostly appreciates the genre!

This guy here clearly hasn't watched these films. Monster Zero only looks like Ghidrah. Chitanoceras, a giant bird monster....

I actually spoke to him at the SD Comic Con several years ago and told him there were several mistakes regarding our favorite sub-genre.

he was pleasant, but not overly concerned, which is how I decided to treat his books (I had the one revised in the early 90s, so none of the VS movies were in it).

I wonder if he got the "steel spitting" thing about Guilala from the moronic Medved's inept book, or they got it from him.
